Scrap materials exploration "on the ground"

Large and small objects, chopped materials of various colors and shapes, textures and different surfaces, ordered in transparent containers inspire the exploratory activity of the children, as new raw materials to be discovered with curious hands.

Scrap materials proposed out of their usual context are no longer "waste" but new elements that claim to be "tested", investigated, touched, smelled, "played."

Able and curious hands discover the limits and potential of materials, starting from a word suggesting a shape to reach real paths of knowledge. 

The materials are arranged in a clear area, "on the ground", welcoming and open to the movement, manipulation and observation.

As a classroom without borders, the space allow the child to a research autonomously, but also to share, exchange and cooperate.

Program

The proposal consists of 1 session of 90 minutes, with 2 educators for about 25 children.
